Osprey short listed for national PR award

Osprey Communications is celebrating after being short listed for a national PR award.

Osprey has reached the final of the Fresh PR Awards for the best Low Budget Campaign.

The Fresh PR Awards recognise excellence, evaluation and results in Public Relations and Communications outside London.

Osprey has been short listedfor its work with Made in Cumbria to publicise the campaign to protect the Traditional Cumberland Sausage.

The campaign included a Traditional Cumberland Sausage Day, a cook off to find the best Traditional Cumberland Sausage, a website, a Facebook page and several short films on YouTube. The campaign also received backing from TV chefs the Hairy Bikers.

Osprey’s MD Paul Gardner, who was previously a journalist at the BBC and an adviser at the Treasury, says: “We’re delighted to have been short listed for a national award for the work we did with Made in Cumbria. Its recognition not just of our efforts but also for the work that Made in Cumbria does.”

In addition to Made in Cumbria, Osprey’s clients include Hadrian’s Wall Heritage Ltd, regional retailer Booths, the Forestry Commission in the North West and the West Midlands, English Lakes Hotels, the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and Muncaster Castle.

Eric Robson says: “The whole team at Osprey has put in a lot of hard work over the last few years. Being short listed for a national award is a tremendous achievement.”

Osprey will be competing against another North West PR agency, the press team at NHS Lothian, the agency who do the PR for the Jorvik Viking Festival in York and a firm in Sheffield.
